We Traveled to Lucidity with the PEACE LOVE & LINEN Clothing Vendor Booth. 

We met three very special individuals, Who have since become our very dear friends and Gypsy Brothers. Chris (Koji) Jesse (Kojin) and Johnny Talkabout-Bonecrusher. <3 We all traveled to Big Sur after the festival.  

2. Ignight Fire Flow Conference :

IgNight is a 3 day Fire Flow Community Celebration in Southern California, designed to provide a fun, educational and community environment for spinners from all over the world. At least 7 classes going on simultaneously at all times of the day and a nightly spin jam with awesome DJ's. Flow enthusiasts of all skill levels are invited to attend this communal opportunity for growth and development as a fire artist. Hundreds of artists will gather to learn, teach, and advance together in the flow arts.

Elise worked Grounds Crew For this festival and took a billion workshops until her mind was blown. 

Also Met alot of amazing flow artists and immersed myself in the flow community.
We all took a trip to 6 flags and had a fire groove sleep over party! IT WAS GREAT!

We were blessed to have the opportunity to Perform a Union Ceremony for a couple who was anticipating their wedding! WE choreographed an impromptu wedding by fire ceremony . Beauty, Love and Light Manifestation.

2012 has been a magical Synchroblisstiy Adventure! 

We have been so blessed in our travels.  In our travels we have experienced the beautiful bountiful Love of source spirit and seen the magical and physical manifestations of LoveLight. Along the path we have been led to wonderful people; brilliant bright shining light Love beings, beautiful, intelligent, enlightened, generous, compassionate, and Unique Individuals.

Post Burn Update

WOW! Life keeps happening, spinning faster than my mini hoops!

BURNING MAN was an amazing experience. I learned a few tough lessons. Specifically about community and my desire to be involved in order to be include.

After the Burn, I headed out to Reno for a night and then to Lake Tahoe.  It was so lovely to be by the water after a week on the Playa.

A rainy day in the cabin, and a lovely day on the lake.

Then it was off to Salt Lake City, Utah to perform at a weekend concert event called 'Audio Circus' I was up on stage performing with my good friends, Danielle Odette and Kanyon Walker and Grimm Zimmer.

We worked with Vibe Tribe and Vibe Squad! they were wonderful people with a great community following.

then it was off to VIVA LAS VEGAS! To visit my mommy at the MGM Grand Hotel. We were blessed and gifted 3 prime tickets to see Cirque Du Soeliel KA!!! It was beautiful , I felt truly amazed by the circus skills and the amazing stage work.

Back to LA for less than 14 hours, and a quick turn around back up north to OAKLAND for  night. then UP UP UP TO OREGON!

I was able to see my Grandma and family in McMinnville, And i was in town just in time for two birthday!

I was then whisked away to PACIFIC FIRE FLOW FESTIVAL on the Oregon Coast. This was a fantastic event put on by a wonderful flow community. I took wonderful workshops on elbow hooping and mini hoop manipulation and I have also picked up double staffs! There was a variety show indoors, an out door fire show and a renegade show. All of which were grand showcase events for the talent that permeates this community. I was wowed and inspired.

I adore the circus flow arts fire community that I have found. It spans world wide. It is truly magic that we are all able to connect and maintain long lasting friendships and relationships based on flow. Letting them know all about the flow!

After the festival I was able to travel back to McMinnville area and see my family! I was able to attend 'Back to School' night with Sami and Michaela, they are in th 8th grade! I am so proud of how they are growing up into beautiful young women.

I was blessed to see my good 'ole oregon friends Marty and Deavon. Both wonderful men who i met while living here in the summer of 2009.

Marty is living in Portland now, and he took me there for the weekend! Although, once we arrived I ran away with the circus!

I went to the VAGABOND vaudville street show on thursday> lots of great fire performances, Jill and Jay peace love circus, Master Marvin ONG, Tyler Spades and Brian from down under!
I was able to hang out in Portland and spend alot of time spinning things and practicing flow.

I went to see Random Rab play in portland. It was a great venue, super awesome show and i really enjoyed seeing a snap shot of the Weird Portland Scene.


So all in all Life has been one great awesome wonderful amazing CIRCUS! I am so happy, filled with joy and gratitude and radiating light energy! I am finding balance in many ways. and learning that it is about rejoicing in those moments of balanced clarity and also rejoicing in those wobbly moments in between.

The First Time. Hoop Gypsy Tips!-

HOOP GYPSY TIPS! From ~Harmony~ 
 This is my first time giving some Gypsy Hoop Tips, and I thought it would be fitting to write about firsts, Like the first time you hula hoop. My Students and Audience often ask , when did you start hooping?


Hoop Gypsy- OUR FIRST TIME 
 Carla and I both started hula hooping in the summer of 2010, right before Bliss Fest. We were at Camp Michigania and our friend DINO was making hula hoops to vend at the festival. He tossed us the first ones done to try. We both laughed, claiming "I don't think I have done this in years!" and "I cant do this...." 


Then. We Hooped. 
And it was Glorious. That rush of confidence, reassurance, pride. As that hoop circled around my body over and over again, it eased the pain from my hoopless past, all those failed attempts of my childhood were replaced by this new sensation.  I WAS HOOPING! and I was so surprised by and proud of myself, my body, I was set free by discovering my own personal rhythmic movement. 
after attending a festival with my best friend and our hoops, I was forever changed. I saw the Joys of hoop dance,and upon my return to the Detroit area, I began attending open practiced held by the DFG (Detroit fire guild). Learning all I could. I have been forever changed by the excitement and joys of Hoop Gypsy Circus life, and all because I picked up a hoop and started moving to the rhythm of a brand new beat! 

Your First time, 


Your first time hooping as an adult can be daunting. All of a sudden, that talented young hula hoop Gypsy Star, has handed you a huge hoop with a smile, and put you on the spot, in front of friends and family, you think, "I cant do this, This is going to be embarrassing!" 


REMAIN CALM! 


Thankfully you follow this Blog, so you will know exactly what to do. *** Be sure to be using a specialty made ADULT Sized hoop. The plastic cheap ones made for children are garbage, and will only lead to frustration and disappointment and land fill waste. 


STEP ONE- Confidence. it truly can make that hoop go 'round. First you must believe in yourself, and approach hula hooping with a positive, 'can do' or 'at least i'm trying' attitude. 



STEP TWO- Step into your hoop. and SMILE!Assume the proper hoop stance; feet shoulder width apart, Knees slightly bent, Abs activated, Bellybutton to spine to support the back, Spine aligned, shoulder rolled back, Head up and SMILE! 
Holding the hoop by your waist, press the hoop against the small of your back, and allow the "Big Space" to be in front. 

STEP THREE_ (***THE MOST IMPORTANT STEP!) A LEVEL LAUNCH is critical for beginner hoopers. In my classes, I normally have everyone "wind up" three time before we "blast off" together.  
If you send your hoop around your body on an angle, it will wobble and be difficult to keep up. But with a nice level launch, and a proper hoop stance, you should be in good shape. 



So Give it a Whirl! Have no Hoop  fear, and the next time you are put on the spot and asked to Hoop, Gladly accept and show them what is up!  If at first you do not succeed, pick that hoop up and try again, and again and again.

We are also very excited to be sharing in the celebration and marriage ceremony of our dear Michigania Staff friends, Paul and Robin.  We will both be honored to stand up in the wedding and unite the lovely couple. 


We are booked For July! August opens up a new world of possibility. We will be traveling back to the west coast, Staying in Santa Monica, California.
